Synergy Canada, the annual conference for users of the DT Professional Suite and Onvio, was held in Vaudreuil-Dorion, a suburb of Greater Montreal in Quebec on October 17 and 18. Tax and accounting professionals from across the country were able to collaborate and network with Thomson ReutersBԪַs staff, expert speakers and colleagues.

DT Tax and Accounting was pleased to welcome Evelyn Jacks, founder and president of the Knowledge Bureau and bestselling author, as well as Jean-Guy Talbot, Founder & CEO of RêveNew Practice Management/Talbot & Associates. Also on hand were representatives from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), discussing updates and objectives regarding their electronic services for the coming years.
The conference included a panel discussion on the future of tax and accounting. Panellists shared their observations on cloud computing, keeping up with security advancements and taking measures to protect firms and their client data among many other topics.
Synergy Canada also offered attendees six different interactive workshop sessions to choose from. Attendees earn CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits as part of their day of learning and networking.
